DIG hosted it’s 3rd Annual DIG STEM!!! An estimated 4,000 spectators in rural Barnwell County! Big things can be achieved in small places!!!

The DIG STE(A)M Festival is a celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STE(A)M) in rural communities. The festival is an outdoor event that provides an opportunity for engagement and exchange between children, teens, families, and STE(A)M professionals.

The event showcases a multitude of local exhibitors who will provide hands-on activities, live performances, interactive demonstrations, and family-oriented STE(A)M entertainment. The goal of the event is to increase awareness of the role of STE(A)M in society while conveying the importance of STE(A)M knowledge and skills in everyday life.

The event’s hands-on experiments and exhibits will nurture the students’ curiosity about STE(A)M as well as engage parents. This annual event provides opportunities for parents to learn the importance of STE(A)M in their kid’s lives and the possibility of STE(A)M careers and training for themselves. DIG is committed to providing educational and inspirational offerings to rural communities at little to no charge in order to engage the largest possible audience, especially under-served populations.
