David Gleaton currently serves as a Senior Implementation Manager in IT with the Department of Veterans Affairs, bringing over a decade of service focused on advancing technology solutions that improve outcomes for veterans and public service initiatives. His federal tenure has earned him several honors, including the VA Special Contribution Award (2014), Army Superior Civil Service Award (2013), and the Army Achievement Medal for Civilians (2010).
Before his current role, David managed a $40M+ IT portfolio for the U.S. Army Materiel Command. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), he has led complex technology programs that support mission-critical government operations.
Driven by a deep commitment to educational and economic equity in rural communities, David co-founded the Dreams, Imagination, and Gift (DIG) program with Steven Brown. Inspired by his upbringing in a small South Carolina town, he champions DIG’s mission to expand access to STEMM education, mentorship, and leadership development for rural youth.
David holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina, a Certificate in Cost Management from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Master’s in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Air War College. He lives in the Montgomery, Alabama area with his wife and child.
